Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading and using AssetVault ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. AssetVault reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

2. Description of Service

AssetVault is a mobile application that helps users organize and track bills and expenses. The App includes features such as bill photo capture with OCR (Optical Character Recognition), expense tracking, analytics, and subscription management. AssetVault is provided "as-is" without warranty of any kind.

3. User Account & Responsibility

To use AssetVault, you must create an account using your email address. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials confidential
• Maintaining the accuracy of account information
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

You must be at least 13 years old to use this App. Users under 18 should have parental consent.

4. Subscription & Billing

Subscription Tiers: AssetVault offers free and paid subscription tiers (Plus Monthly, Plus Yearly, Premium Monthly, Premium Yearly). Pricing and features vary by tier and are clearly displayed before purchase.

Billing: Paid subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period. Your payment method (Apple ID) will be charged automatically unless you cancel.

Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store settings (Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Refunds: Refunds are subject to Apple's App Store refund policy. AssetVault does not directly process refunds. For refund requests, contact Apple Support through the App Store.

Trial Period: If a trial is offered, you must cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged. Trial periods are non-transferable.

5. Permitted Use

You agree to use AssetVault only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not violate these terms or infringe upon anyone else's rights. Prohibited conduct includes:

• Using the App for illegal activities
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the App or servers
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the App
• Scraping, crawling, or automatically extracting data
• Harassing, abusing, or threatening other users
• Uploading malware or malicious content

6. Intellectual Property

AssetVault, including its design, features, and content, is owned by IAI Technology Ltd. and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or transmit any content without prior written permission. Your use of the App does not grant you any ownership rights.

7. User Content

When you upload receipt photos, documents, or other content to AssetVault, you retain ownership but grant us a license to store, process, and display this content to provide the service. We will not share your personal asset data with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AssetVault and CocoKao are not liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data or profits
• Service interruptions or errors
• Third-party app or service failures

Your sole remedy is discontinuing use of the App. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability, so this may not apply to you.

9. Disclaimer

AssetVault is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee the App will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. We are not responsible for third-party services (Apple App Store, payment processors, cloud storage) or their failures.

AssetVault is not a financial advisor. Information provided in the App is for tracking purposes only and should not be relied upon for financial decisions. Consult a financial advisor for investment or tax advice.

10. Termination

AssetVault may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in prohibited conduct. Upon termination, you lose access to the App and your data. AssetVault is not liable for data loss resulting from account termination.

11. Third-Party Services

AssetVault uses third-party services including Apple App Store, Supabase (backend), and payment processors. Your use of AssetVault means you accept their terms and privacy policies. AssetVault is not responsible for their services or any issues arising from them.

12. Changes to Terms

AssetVault may update these terms at any time. We will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date and, if changes are significant, by email or in-app notification. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
